LIPSTICK UNDER MY BURKHA

Based on the social lives of 04 different women’s tight down by the societies’ rules, so they have given a very restricted lifestyle which they do not deserve. So they try their best to have the freedom to do whatever they want with their lives.

It eventually makes them look like a bad person in their society because the majority of the women have accepted the rule that these women’s rejected. It makes them steal, lie and hide their identity and mostly encouraged to do illegal things which eventually going to impact in their future lives, but they don’t care as long as they have their fantasies fulfilled.

Let me introduce you to the four main ladies(Characters) in this movie,

Shireen (Konkona) is a saleswoman who goes door to door selling telemarketing products but trying to keep her job as a secret from her husband. She works hardworking women who earn enough to earn independence through her job but unfortunately, she couldn't raise her voice in the family because of her husband's dominancy.

Leela (Aahana) caught on an arranged marriage that she doesn't like. At the same time shes cheating with her old boyfriend, who also happens to be her wedding photographer.

Rihana (Plabita) is the younger daughter of a Muslim family and living under her father's restriction. But she wants to be like Miley Cyrus and dreams of being a Super Star

Usha (Ratna) aged women who have hidden sexual desires and reads erotica books to have the intimacy she barely having in her life right now.

All four of these women may differ but all of them have the fantasy of living free life where no people(especially men) tell them how to behave, dress, talk, love, and many more and they want to differ from the typical women label they have given by this underdeveloped society. 

And this a very interesting movie and I highly recommend you watch the movie mainly because it talks about the underdeveloped societies in Asia and how they treat women and how rule-makers manipulate these poor souls to their likings.

This is me watching a Hindi movie after a long time, decided to watch this because of the hype this has created on the Bollywood cinema

 felt the movie is a little bit longer than it needed. The movie has a little bit of touch of humor which helps to the flow of the story and some places to emphasize the effect of the story.
