02 Dunkirk
In my last blog about DUNKIRK, we discussed the main components of the movie, If you didn't read the first part you can CLICK HERE and take a look at my first part of the review.
So in the 02nd part, I will talk more about the use of various SOUND and MUSIC features composed by Hans Zimmer and how Mr. Nolan use those sounds effect to build up the suspense to the highest point possible like building, building blocks and that actually helped the story to express the horrific situation that soldiers faced during the time. These types of sound effects are called Shepard tones and I'll mention down examples for Shepard tones.
Shepard tones you can find on the internet: souncloud.com
Minimal dialogue as I mentioned in my First review DUNKIRK runs for the whole 02 hours without the main character and not only that, the movie has very few dialogues so the Music and sound effects speak for the whole movie. Created by Hans Zimmer helps to void the space created by minimal dialogue, this Technique enhances the emotions emits by the DUNKIRK.
EDITING The OSCAR winning edition of DUNKIRK one of the best works we have seen from Lee Smith and the way he edits this movie is very unique. What he basically does is he divide the sequence of the movie into 03 parts considering the place the piece of the clip has been recorded eg. AIR, GROUND, SEA. Below you can see how Lee Smith divide his timeline into 3 parts by labeling them as RED GREEN and BLUE
Mr.Nolan called this technique the SNOWBALL effect. I'll try to do my best to explain it, you guys.....

The Mole - Expands for One Week - Focusing on the 400,000 soldiers that are trapped in the Coastal Area of Dunkirk.
The Sea - Expands for One Day - Focusing on one of many British sailors coming with their private boats to rescue mentioned soldiers.
The Air - Expands for One Hour - Focusing on the spitfires that came to take down Germans Air Strikers who are trying to bomb the rescuing boats coming from England's coast.
These 03 Timelines intersect each other during the movie but what fascinates us is at the first sight we tend to think that all these scenes are chronological, but it's not, these 03 timelines are time stamped on their own uniques way but the scene
So this is my final post of Dunkirk movie and the completion of my review of the movie DUNKIRK. This movie has been one of the best Cinematic pictures I have ever seen and I would rate myself this movie as
9.5 / 10
Why 9.5 Because I feel like if Mr. Nolan tried to bring out a main character to the story, the story could have been much more emotional.

(p.s. I'll be uploading more reviews later)
