The man who knew Infinity (Autobiography of Srinivasa Ramanujan)
Srinivasa Ramanujan was an Indian Mathematician, who lived during the British ruling time in India, This movie was about the discovery of Ramanujan as one of the best mathematicians in Indian history.
The Man Who knew Infinity autobiography of Ramanujan, one of the best Mathematicians born in Indian in the 19th century and excelled in his brilliance at Trinity College in England. The movie talks about how he discovers himself as this great mathematicians.
Ramanujan was struggling in poverty as he takes care of his wife and mother, This is very common for most Indians at the time and Ramanujan was okay with the lifestyle he had but he found some work related to accounting and since Ramanujan was very passionate about numbers and his employee recognized his talent immediately. The Englishman (Ramanujan's employee) got interested in the work Ramanujan been doing in free time and suggest him to send these works to one of his known friends and professor at Trinity College in England. After analyzing his work done in infinite series Professor Hardy decided to take Ramanujan to the College as a student.
Ramanujan had this god-given gift or ability to come up with theories ( mostly he came up with infinite series- Ill explain later) but he had no way to prove to the world what happens in his head.

One of the things he discovers was the series of summation of all-natural Numbers;
That means 1+2+3+4+........ = -1/12 Yeah I know it doesn't make any sense but Ramanujan discovered this presented and proof. It's very easy to prove even if you're new to the mathematics you can understand that very easily, I'll add the link below that has presented with all the explanations and the full proof.
Check out the proof: Summation of all-natural numbers

He has this god-given ability to dream these infinite theories, would you ever think that summing all the natural numbers that mean 1+2+3+4+5+...... would get you a Negative value; crazy right but Ramanujan dream about these things and later proved that his dreams real things existing in mathematics world.
Professor Hardy is the one who believes in Ramanujan's talent and he wants to help him to express his maths to the world in a proper way since no one will believe his dreams, professor Hardy helps him to coverts those dreams to papers of proofs so that people will start to believe,
In the road to success, Ramanujan had to overcome difficulties first he had to find the right people who can understand him then he had to understand the language of math that all other communicate even though he had the great mind to come up with these crazy mathematical models he needed the knowledge to prove them so that others will start believing in his work.

In the meantime, the first world war begins and food shortage became a huge issue and especially Ramanujan had a hard timing in finding vegetables since war-affected agriculture at the time. During wartime, diseases were spreading and Ramanujan got sick with one of them and his health became critical, during this time Professor Hardy helped him to get back on his feet and as soon as Ramanujan got well he went back to Indian.
In the movie also they stated that his illness came back during this journey back to Indian in the ship and few years of living with his wife and Family Ramanujan passed away.

Some of his notebooks are rediscovered in 1976 and caused great excitement among mathematicians as Lost Notebooks and while he was in Indian for the later part of his life he was continuously coming up with new formulas and theorems and he was writing letters to professor Hardy about them.
